Well, Tuesday...was fun. Broadsword dropped their latest update 7.6 which had a lot of stuff that was highlighted in a post on SWTOR.com's Developer's blog.
One of the highlights of this new update was the new Dynamic Encounters meant to liven up gameplay with events that happen as you're exploring Tatooine and Illum. Now I haven't played long enough to run across those, especially on Tatooine since I try to get the hell off-planet as quickly as possible, but I'll drop screenshots when I get a chance to run into a dynamic encounter while running around doing missions.
The other to-do that was going on was the aging up of characters. Unfortunately it didn't turn out well for a lot of people. Complaints from characters looking as though they turned into grandmas and grandpas abound about the various servers especially on Fleet. On the whole my characters didn't get hit too badly with the aging stick.
So here you get an idea of what 7.6 has done to my "sisters".
Anyhow...on the other front as far as I have checked out we have a new companion-mount speeder at least what we have at the moment - the Meirm Cicada. Now this is a mount that is only given free to those who were subscribed during the period of November 29, 2024 to January 4, 2025 and it was collectible from your in-game mailbox as of 7.6 drop on Tuesday once the servers were up.
On the other hand, there was a Twitch drop currently running where everyone (F2P, Preferred Status and Subbed) can get an Amethyst Vulptilla. The only thing that we had to do was to link our own personal Twitch account to our SWTOR account and then watch four hours of Twitch drop-enabled content which enabled me to nail down that mount.
This is currently my Chiss toon Miria who is currently riding on this Amethyst Vulptilla.
Keep in mind that this post is an "in-progress" one as I explore more of what has been done. I don't do operations (not enough members in our guild to undertake Ops), so I probably will not be investigating the new Operation...(if I'm correct, the Propagator Lair Boss has to be taken on with multiple people, so I won't be doing that, but I will be exploring the worlds that have had graphics updates.
Lastly, I have a pic of my newest Mirialan Jedi Knight. She is wearing the newest hairstyle to be presented in the game.
All in all, it's a mixed bag of good stuff, a little bad stuff...and well...like they say, you can't please everybody. Pics of planets with the graphics updates to come later.
